Jan Palmer was a children's book illustrator for 35 years before returning to her fine art training. Leaving Raggedy Ann and Thumbelina behind, her subjects now include portraits, landscapes and sporting art including fishing activities and canoeing.

Jan has won 15 awards from juried watercolor shows in CT and NY including 5 awards from the National Exhibition of American Watercolors in Old Forge, NY.

Jan is a Canadian and received her art training in St John, N.B. She now lives in the Adirondacks in upstate New York and is a member of the American Watercolor Society, Kent Art Association in CT and the Upper Hudson Valley Watercolor Society.
